partners

Canopy forms partnerships or affiliations with individuals, corporations, and organizations worldwide.

Wildlife biologists and other scientists

Our Affiliate Wildlife Specialists enjoy opportunities to collaborate in new and exciting ways that benefit them through wider and more meaningful exposure for their work. They also have access to resources and funding that permit continued research and conservation efforts.

Industrial and commercial sectors

Business ties to the local community are strengthened through meaningful involvement with the protection and management of the natural world. An increased awareness of the benefits of formulating environmental strategies can lead to promising new ventures and strengthening of business practices.

Labor

The workforce has a huge stake in quality of life, reduction of pollution, working conditions, and availability of opportunities for outdoor recreation. Corporate employees can also influence company policy in positive ways with regard to the environment.

Communities

Through Canopy’s work, local community residents and their children become involved with wildlife research and ecosystem management activities that otherwise would remain abstract concepts. They gain an increased appreciation for wildlife, wild lands and natural resources, and become informed participants in efforts to address conservation-related needs.

Educators

University and K through 12 students enjoy enhanced opportunities to discover and contribute to knowledge about nature and the complexities of human-wildlife relationships in their communities and local ecosystems.

NGOs

Canopy works in collaboration with conservation NGO’s to share information and resources and reach common goals. Such collaboration allows Canopy to undertake and help manage a wide variety of projects with far-reaching benefits.

Government Organizations

Government organizations and agencies are increasingly concerned about the assessment and integration of stakeholder needs during the implementation of conservation management strategies. Canopy promotes such integration by facilitating access to stakeholder groups in a progressive setting.
